The Tale of Zazu

Combine a little bit of love, creativity and gumption... voila, Zazu was born! Originating as a "really cool idea," we had a wonderful opportunity to hash out Zazu during the wild, wacky, whirlwind of a 54-hour startup competition known as Startup Weekend (in Boston). A great experience and an absolute blast, we'd highly recommend partaking in SW.

The Gang

There are four members of the Zazu team, including the street-slick businessman, Punit Shah (idea conceiver), the resident biologist, Aaron Gerry, the dancing machine, Praful Mathur, and server herder, Marc Held. In the past, we have worked on entrepreneurial projects and endeavours together, but never on a startup as exciting as Zazu! All college students at Northeastern University, we fully admit to drinking our own kool aid and welcome an app that can add some organization to our hectic mornings.

So How'd you Guys Come up with the Name? (We choose you, Zazu!)

We'll never tell! Just kidding. We knew that we wanted to use a name that sounded butler-ish: Jeeves, Geoffrey, Alfred, Duckworth? No, no, NO! It had to be cheeky, fun and possibly a blast from the past. Luckily, a little birdy swooped in (fictitiously) and helped us out... Good morning Sire, checking in with the morning report!
